Where is the American Church?

Where is the American Church? is a collection of three essays pertaining to Christian life and doctrine in a 21st-century context. Each can be read independently, but also forms a coherent whole that challenges and encourages the reader to think biblically and consistently about their worldview and challenges them to act in concert with the teachings of Scripture.
The first essay explores some defects in the nominally Bible-believing churches that prevent them from fulfilling the Great Commission as effectively as they might.
The second essay deals with some reasons (under God's overriding providence) for the decline of the churches' overall influence in modern Western culture. One of those reasons being the assaults of scientism and the readiness to believe science is the sole source of authentic knowledge, this essay examines the inadequacies of human knowledge independent of revelation and examines some of the more common secular and atheist critiques and misconceptions of Christianity.
The third essay deals with the question of God's wrath as it might be relevant to us not in the end times, but today. Is America as a nation now subject to the wrath of God?
