The object of a lecturer should not be simply to impart information and give entertainment. He accomplishes most who furnishes food for thought, stimulates to activity, and gives guide lines for future study. I design at no distant day to develop more fully the scheme of thought here suggested. In the meanwhile, this outline is presented with the hope that it may prove useful to those into whose hands it may fall.
