Originally titled, in the style of its day, Soldiers Whom Wellington Led, this volume contains almost twenty vignettes-some describing personalities and events that may not be familiar to modern readers-about the soldiers of all ranks who were Wellington's 'old peninsular army which could go anywhere and do anything.'
