Excerpt from United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Transcript of Record, Vol. 1 of 2: The Pioneer Reduction Company, a Corporation, Appellants, Vs, F. C. Beedle and the Belleville Tailings Association, a Corporation, AppelleeIX'. That the said defendant F. C. Beedle, pur suant to his said intent to cheat and defraud the said plaintiff as aforesaid, did, on or about the 1st day of May, 1914, form and organize The Belleville Tailings Association, a joint stock company with a capital stock of one hundred (100) shares Of the par value of One Thousand Dollars per share, and soon thereafter did make a pretended conveyance of said tailings and all of the machinery, rights and appurtenances connected therewith, to gether with all pretended rights of said F. C. Beedle as set forth in said Exhibit A to the said Belleville Tailings Association, joint stock company as afore said, that said pretended conveyance was made with out any consideration whatever except thirty-six shares of the said stock of said joint stock company issued to said defendant F. C. Beedle by said joint stock company, that the said defendant F. C.
