The keeper, Mr. Spear, and his Wife, the matron, have earned the hearty approval of the Board by their faithful and successful endeavors in discharge of the varied duties that from time to time have devolved upon them. Good order and a thorough discipline have uniformly prevailed, While those under their charge have been kindly dealt With and cared for. Twenty persons have been admitted during the year, ten discharged, and six deceased, present number of inmates, seventeen, including one Who, for several years, has been atthe Insane Hospital in Boston, whose removal was advised by its superintendent.
