Which I have used in compiling this book are Add. Ms. And Harl. Mss. 1385, 1445, 1559.Ms. 1385 is a beautiful copy of the 1573 Visitation. Ms. 1445 has as its title, printed on the back, The Visitations of Somerset in 1623 and 1565 (sic), the older Visitation being placed at the end. A copy of this ms. Was made by Rev. T. Leman, and was left under his will to the Library of the Literary and Scientific Institution at Bath.
