A The writer pointed out that when the Government of Canada borrowed $30, 00 during the early post-war period, this sum was equivalent to bushels of wheat. To repay the debt the people of Canada must produce the equivalent of Lushels of wheat.De¿ation is the principal, though of course not the only reason why the burden of debt weighs unduly upon the people.
