Overwork, underfeeding, illness of other types, alcoholism, industrial dusts, these are the chief agents which cause the lighting up of isolated local lesions into an acute disease process. In dealing with adult tuberculosis, in communities where tubercu lous infection is common, the development of general and individual resistance is our chief weapon.
