During that pe riod, the regiment fought many fights and won undying glory in the greatest battles of the Civil War. After 1865 the regiment continued as a National Guard Regiment until 1898 when again the country called for volunteers. The answer of Colonel Du¿'y of the Sixty-ninth was that 100 per cent.
