The Self Delusion falsely convinces us that we are a separate being, an individual personal entity, ego or distinct self. If we can break through your egoistic way of viewing the world and go beyond our mere intellectual understanding to bridge the gap between the ordinary distinction we make between ourselves as a "knower" of a world on the one hand and a world which is "known" on the other then we can find our way to the underlying truth that all religions hold in common.
