One in three will become managers of services, products, or institutions. One in ten will enter sales or sales management. One in ten will become a physician or dentist. One in ten will become a lawyer. One in ten will enter the teaching profession. Almost all hampden-sydney graduates will become practicing professionals of one type or another.And that is important. But what happens between the time a student enters Hampden - Sydney College and the time he leaves is equally important. Placement cannot be a second semester senior year activity any more than preparation for medical or law school. Growth, career definition, career preparation, and personal awareness must be a continuous, ongoing process.
