The men and women who so gladly gave the use of their cars and chauffeurs, and the many more who gave personal time and service, were in a great measure responsible for the efficiency and expediency with which the few nurses were able to take care of the many patients. The splendid women who were in charge of the removal of patients to hospital by ambulance also rendered an invaluable service, over 300 patients being thus transferred.
