The Oberlin Alumni Magazine, Vol. 1

Angebote / Angebote:

Excerpt from The Oberlin Alumni Magazine, Vol. 1: April 1905Musical Union will not be allowed any excessive contentment with its past or any stay in its progress. Pride and vanity, forbidden to its members, may, however, be moderately indulged by its friends. But it must be remembered that the Union is mainly composed of undergraduate students, ' with voices that are immature and but slightly trained. In this respect it is at a disadvantage in compari son with the choral societies of the large cities. This disadvantage is largely balanced by the charm of fresh voices, enthusiasm, and tireless, relentless and long-continued drill.
