Excerpt from The Michigan Historical Commission: Its Inception, Organization, Administration and Aims
With the conviction that for an institution to be as useful as possible it is necessary to seek for it wide publicity, the Michigan Historical Commission have devised, in common with bodies of a like nature, a series of bulletins, to be published from time to time, setting forth in a form readily accessible all matters about its work that would be of interest to the general public and to scholars.
Bulletin No. 1 relates to the inception, the aims and the administration of the Commission.
