This is a story of a young boy who dreamed of becoming a RAAF pilot. His dream became a reality when he served in 10 Sqn, flying Lincoln, Neptune and Dakota aircraft. He was posted to RAAF Williamtown and served in 77 Sqn, 79 Sqn, 76 Sqn and 3 Sqn as a fighter pilot, and flew Vampire, Sabre and Mirage aircraft. He completed a tour in Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller (FAC), served with the USAF and supported the US Army on operations. He also assisted with the training of new FACs posted to Vietnam. After serving in various staff positions in Canberra, he resigned from the RAAF and joined Customs, introducing three Searchmaster aircraft into the Customs' service. He became a business owner and was in business for twenty-three years before retiring in 2007
