Excerpt from The Idea of the Industrial SchoolTo try to correct these mistakes and end these contortions, the Bund fur Schulre form chose the vocational school, as sub jcet for discussion, at its meeting in Dresden on October 6 - 8, 1911, and invited Superin tendent Gaudig and myself to read papers on the idea of the vocational school. These papers were to be followed by a free discus sion, and it was hoped that this would help in making the idea clear and unambiguous.
