Excerpt from The Herald of the Cross, Vol. 1: June, 1905
Prior to the time of Moses it was known as the pass ing of the soul from the hall of death to the King's chamber of light. That was how the early Egyptians spoke of it. And before Moses was born the Egyptians had lost the meaning of this event in the history of the soul. But when he is said to have been called to deliver Israel, it means that that lost knowledge was to be again restored to the race. The mere localisation of the his tory was an event ages after Moses had passed away from the earth.
