Excerpt from The Great Basin Naturalist, 1977, Vol. 37In 1972 cormorants nested in four trees on the dike at the Geneva Colony (table Trees 2, 3, and 4 were all being utilized by 1 April, but tree 1 was not used for nesting until about 10 days later (fig. Eighteen nests from the previous year were reused, although some were in very poor condition. One Old nest in tree 1 was not used, although it seemed in good condition. No nests were abandoned.
