The book, however, for some unexplained reason, never came out.W'hile residing in Washington, D C., last winter. I found an Opportunity to make search for'the ancestors of James Mont omery and his wife, Lydia, on the eastern shore of Maryland where I knew that James had been born. Accordingly I employed competent and trustworthy genealogists and we searched the records at Elkton, Baltimore and Annapolis for the desired data.
