Patty and Bob were childhood friends. Bob was paralyzed at the age of 19. He coped with overwhelming physical and emotional challenges with courage and determination. Patty's experiences left her without hope and questioning how to bear the crosses she was destined for. After many years of following their own paths, they met again and married at the age of 49. Despite increasing trials, they realized they were meant to be. They found that their love for each other, and their increasing faith and trust of God would sustain them as they followed life's path together. Patricia Stoiber Ott is retired and lives in West Bend, Wisconsin, with her dog Buddy. She fills her days with volunteering, quilting, gardening, writing, and in the company of great friends. In writing this memoir she hopes to encourage and support others going through difficult times with their loved ones.
