Mitchell Nevin is a master at developing characters, readers will empathize with, even the bad guys. Nothing is as it seems-flip the pages to find out, who's good, who's bad, who's dead, and who survives.
The Cozen Protocol is an intricately woven story, perfect for any crime lover. Take a ride in the front seat with Milwaukee's finest and view the world as you have never seen it before, by walking-a-mile in the shoes of everyday street cops as they carefully balance the ebb-and-flow of justice and politics.
Faced with inept leadership, outlaw bikers, gangs, and crooked cops, each day is another unique challenge. Down, but not out, the fine men and women of law enforcement combine their talents and work together to "foil" the bad guys and live to fight crime for another day.
Editorial Reviews:
I've been telling friends and family about this book. My mother is a fan of murder and detective stories. I recommended she go through the glossary of terms because Nevin relies heavily on MPD lingo.
--Eric Donaldson,
20-year Milwaukee Police Department veteran
I thought it [The Cozen Protocol] was a great read, a little W.E.B. Griffin (although in the Badge of Honor series all the cops are good guys, in Milwaukee apparently, not so much), a little Wambaugh.
-- Steve Prestegard, Editor of the Platteville Journal
For those interested in knowing what it is like to wear a big-city police department's badge, The Cozen Protocol is a must read. The dialog between characters illustrates that Mitchell Nevin has significant knowledge of organized crime, interrogation techniques, and criminal investigative analysis.
-- Steve Spingola, Author and
Lieutenant of Detectives (Retired)
The Cozen Protocol is a great read and brought back some fond memories of stuff that was going on throughout my years on the job, as the author spun a great mystery with similarities to real incidents. Kudos to Mitchell Nevin for a job well done.
--Detective Larry Powalisz,
Milwaukee Police Department (Retired)
Mitchell Nevin did an absolutely fantastic job of research in preparation for writing this book.
