This ambition, that was not satisfied with the instruction in the common branches received in the public schools, culminated in his attending the night sessions in the Shamokin Business College. Not long after this while attending Lykens Valley Campmeeting he listened to a stirring address on education given by Dr. Benjamin E. Bierman, President Of Lebanon Valley College.
