We have become, if possible, more thoroughly convinced of the necessity that exists for a work of this kind. It is our intention not to continue articles from one number to another where it can be avoided. In order to enable us to give long and interesting articles entire, but most especially to favor subscribers, we have arranged to increase the size of each number: for particulars, see volume I, page 440.
