Excerpt from Some Account of the Early Generations of the Winthrop Family in IrelandAny of the genealogical notices of the Winthrops, which from time to time have found their way into print, contain errors and discrepancies and the same may be said of much of the genealogical material in possession of different branches of the family. In 1874 the undersigned privately printed a few copies of an unfinished Winthrop pedigree, in order to facilitate cer tain enquiries then about to be made in England.
