By his second wife, Henrietta, daughter of Edward Blount of Blagdon, in the county of Devon, Esq, and sister to the present Duchess of Norfolk, he had one son named Edward, and a daughter named Anne. And the said Philip their father died Jan. 3, 1749-50. This noble Duke is descended from Thomas de Brotherton, Earl of Norfolk, fifth son of King Edward I. The Earl of Surrey, general of the English army, his Grace's ancestor, obtained that decisive victory over the Scots at Flodden Field, anno 1513, wherein King James IV. of Scotland lost his life.
