Excerpt from Sacramento Valley East Side Investigation: Progress ReportGentlemen:I am pleased to transmit herewith a report entitled "Sacramento Valley East Side Investigation: Progress Report." This investigation was proposed by the department under the California Water Resources Development Program. The Legislature concurred in this selection by the inclusion of study funds in the Budget Act of 1961. The investigation was initiated in July 1961 and is scheduled for completion in June 1966.This report is submitted at this time to more clearly define the objectives and scope of the investigation, discuss the progress made to date, and outline the course for future studies.
