In my area of eastern Tennessee, music is a way of life. Most every kind of mountain or country music is rooted in gospel music. Just about every little "holler" has a small church sitting sheltered somewhere within. In just about every church there is that one singer that shines above all others. Many of these singers drift into other kinds of music such as country or bluegrass. A few of those singers have high hopes of making it big in the music business. Practically every one of us, raised in this area, knows someone that has made it big or a member of their family. In this book I have endeavored to tell the story of a typical mountain girl with hopes of making it big and having a better life. The girl in this story is a fictional character experiencing the trials and tribulations of someone who is trying to "make it." This story is a work of fiction.
