The sudden demise of the Suharto administration in 1998 ended 32 years of political oppression in Indonesia and initiated a period of significant political liberalization, restructuring, and reform. Many difficulties remain for the Indonesian government and people to resolve. This volume brings together a group of eminent international experts to reflect on the positive outcomes of the democratic reform process. The contributors focus specifically on the different approaches and contributions of Indonesia's four post-Suharto presidents.
