The investigation of departmental programs of study was limited to the undergraduate level. Data in regard to course prerequisites and the placement of courses in prescribed curricula were taken from the Annual Register for Additional information was obtained from the questionnaire which was filled out for each course and by personal consultation with heads of departments. The information collected by these means is presnted in graphical form in Exhibit A.
