Excerpt from Report of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Military Institute: July 4, 1849 The session of the board of visitors was begun the 22d of June, and they respectfully submit to your consideration the fol lowing report: The arms in the arsenal have been inspected, and they have examined the other public property. A committee to whom this duty was assigned, made a report, which is concurred in by the board, on the subject and that document, marked A, is presented herewith. The condition of the building was fully presented, in the annual report of the last year, made to your predecessor in office and it is again referred to, for information on this point of enquiry.
