Ihave tried hard to avoid errors but the chances for errors to creep in, especially in the St. Martin Parish records where I had to depend almost 'wholly upon the extant indexes, are all too numerous.I also ascertained that the French were not at all consistent in what they called themselves, even to the point where they completely reversed their entire names! And those I depended upon my own ingenuity and deciphered them as best I could.
