1.1 REACTIVE POWER IN THE POWER SYSTEM
The significance of reactive power in a power system cannot be
underestimated. For the trustworthy operation of the power system, reactive power flow
must be properly maintained. The presence of reactive power has much
relevance to real power transmission and voltage stability in power systems.
