Excerpt from Proceedings of the Entomological Society of Washington, 2005, Vol. 107Dissections of male and female genitalia and descriptions were performed using the method of Clausen and Cook (1971) and Grimaldi Microforceps were used to remove abdomens, which were macer ated in a potassium hydroxide solution. Cleared terminalia were rinsed in distilled water and 70% ethanol and then transferred to glycerin for Observation. If necessary for proper orientation, the specimen was trans ferred from glycerin to glycerine jelly. The glycerin jelly was heated, and the specimen appropriately oriented. After cooling, the embedded Specimen in glycerin jelly be came immobilized.
