This textbook provides the reader with a basic understanding of the design and analysis of wireless and mobile communication systems. It deals with the most important techniques, models and tools used today in the design of mobile wireless links and gives an introduction to the design of wireless networks. Topics covered include: fundamentals of radio propagation and antennas, transmission schemes, including modulation, coding and equalising schemes for broadband wireless communications, diversity systems, wireless data transmission, introduction to Wireless Network design and resource management.
