Its order of narration, which is in itself perfectly clear and simple, has also, in the main, been closely followed by the Gospels of Luke and Matthew, and where one or the other temporarily departs from the order of Mark we can in every case recognise, as will be shown later, an arbitrary interruption and dislocation of an order previously present, which can be no other than that which lies before us in Mark.
