A study was conducted to explore the diversity of trees and shrubs of Havelian city, Abbottabot. The study shows 57 species of trees and shrubs belonging to 30 families, 3 Gymnosperms and 27 Angiosperms. Among Gymnosperms, Araucaraceae, Cuperaceae and Pinaceae were monotypic represented by Araucaria columnaris, Cedrus deodara and Thuja orientalis respectively. Angiosperms comprise of 54 species and 44 genera. Myrtaceae and Rosaceae consist of 5 species each. Apocynaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Verbinaceae were represented by 3 species each. The families like Moraceae, Oleaceae, Rutaceae, Meliaceae and Solanaceae comprise of 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 genera each and 5, 4, 4, 2, 2 species respectively. Nyctaginaceae represented by a single genus and 2 species. Remaning families represented by a single genus and single species.
