Excerpt from Ordinances and Resolutions of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore: Passed at the Annual Session of 1878 and '79 Northern Central Railway Company to erect a bulkhead on its property on the east side of the harbor, at Canton, commencing for the same one hundred and fifty feet southwardly from the south side of the said company's elevator pier, and run ning thence southwardly one hundred and thirty feet, so as to he on a direct line with the bulkhead at the place of beginning. Sec. 2. - And be it further enacted and ordained, That permission be, and the same is hereby, granted to the said Northern Central Railway Company to erect a pier, seventy feet wide, commencing at the bulkhead described in the preceding section of this ordinance, and running parallel with and about one hundred and fifty feet from the elevator pier.
