Emily Stoll and Jan Southard met through their mutual membership in P.E.O., an international organization dedicated to giving women educational opportunities. Jan's artistic vision of Ookie led to an expanded story line from Emily, and the Ookie book was born. Jan and Emily hope to create other Magical Forest books like Ookie.
