He orders a hypodermic injection of ergotine (grs. Iij., water, q. Over the region of the tumor three times a week, and the regular administration of quinine (gr. Iij.) and ergotine (gr. J.) three times a day. In addition he directs the use of the ointment of the red iodide of mercury, of which a small quantity is to be rubbed in at night.
