Murder in Savannah
BücherAngebote / Angebote:
The place is Savannah, Georgia, the time is the present, and the action starts with the revenge-style murder-in her office at SUS (State University at Savannah)-of a firebrand feminist English professor, Mildred Dutterhaven, who'd had bitter conflicts with her boss and some of her colleagues and had been either loved or hated by her students. During his investigation, rookie detective and narrator T.J. Loomis discovers and exposes in telling detail some of the ugly underside of the politics and behavior so prevalent among college faculty in our time. At the turning point of his investigation Loomis finds himself having to choose between his duty as a police officer, which is to find and see justice done to the killer of a professor he'd hated, and his loyalty to another of his former professors-a gay, stagey southern traditionalist he'd always liked and admired.
