This book introduces the reader to an alternative description of multidimensional optics in liquid crystals and uniaxial media, and gives a systematical investigation on the dynamic properties of twist nematic devices and ECB devices including flow. This book also presents the investigation on the backflow and dynamic properties of nematic liquid crystals in modulated electric fields.
