Excerpt from Minutes of the Twenty-Third Annual Session of the Primitive Baptist Corresponding Association: Held With the Church at Wilson Chapel, Everett, N. C., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 8th, 9th and 10th, 1909 Was horned October 5th, 1839, Died April 12th, which makes him the ripe old age of 71 years, 5 months and 23 days old. He has been a faithful 'member, and w a deacon of the Primitive Baptist Church at Jones Hill six miles north west of Wilson, N. 0. He was a good and faithful member, always filling his sent when he was able. Just before he died he ave a bright and satisfact orvevidence that he was read and willing to full ursuaded to say he died as he liv in t e faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. He leaves three girls and four boys, and many friends to mourn their lost, may the Lord comfort all that mourn, and 'ere long give them in exchange the souls of joy, as he has promised, ma he comfort the bereaved - ones and Lpirepar them to meet im where sins and sor'ow, pain an death are felt and feared no more.mm8888 heed-h.
