Marx's Temporalities
BücherAngebote / Angebote:
Rethinking the central categories of Marx's work, this study provides a critical analysis of his political and theoretical development. The sweep of the analysis aims to integrate the paradigm of the spatialization oftime with that of the temporalization of space, showing how capital places varied temporalities into hierarchies—valuing certain conceptions of time over others at different points in its history—therebyconstantly producing and reproducing new forms of class struggle. If modern global capitalism is to be opposed effectively, Tomba argues that we must adequately analyze the plurality of temporal layersthat are combined and come into conflict in the violently unifying historical dimension of modernity.
