Margaret Fuller Ossoli - Influential Women in History
BücherAngebote / Angebote:
This book is part of a series on historical female figures. It features the American journalist and critic Sarah Margaret Fuller Ossoli (1810-1850). Fuller was an outspoken advocate for women's rights, and her book Woman in the Nineteenth Century is widely recognised as the first significant feminist work written in the United States. She was the first woman allowed to use the library at Harvard College and the first female correspondent for the New York Tribune. Whilst on assignment in Europe for the paper, she started a relationship with Giovanni Ossoli, with whom she had a child. Fuller, Ossoli and the infant died tragically in a shipwreck on their way to America in 1850.
