Excerpt from Manual for Bird BandersAs the bird-banding activities have advanced much experimental work has been done in developing suitable traps and other equip ment. The great improvements thus far made in certain traps and the invention of others have reached a point where the information should be made available in a single publication for the use of bird banding Cooperators. During the period that bird banding has been a project of the Bureau of Biological Survey many types of traps have been figured and described in the mimeographed circulars Bird Banding Notes, issued to cooperators three or four times a year. The value of some of this equipment has been demonstrated, but other types and models require further testing before they can be definitely recommended.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
