»Lutheranism and Ruler in the Holy Roman Empire in the Early Modern Period«
This contribution examines the question of the complexity of mutual influence between politics and religion, between council, clergy and community following on from research of the Cambridge School on historical semantics of politics by portraying the orthodox Lutheran, Tileman Heshusius, whose conflictual jobstations comprised many political-theological and theological-political disputes. Thereby the relation between politics and religion turned out to be political communication, in which the nature of politics or rule in its political-historical appearance were discussed by means of politica christiana describing the political scope of thinking and acting of the players involved.
