Many of Mr. Capes's notes, moreover, have been copied word for word, and most of his translations have been so reproduced. His Geographical Notes have been retained, as far as was consistent with the limits of the present work, but those on Etymology, History, and Antiquities have necessarily been much curtailed to meet the requirements Of the class of boys for Whom the series is meant.
