Gratitude is sincerely felt toward all who responded to the call of the editor in sending requested information, or who devoted no small time and effort to the work during the personal Visits of the editor in charge. The Board feels, however, that particular mention must be made of the courtesy and helpfulness extended by the Library of Congress during an extended study of the catalog by Miss Craw ford, by the Newark free public library, which so generously provided work ing quarters for her for over a year, and by the Buffalo public library, which has similarly furnished accommodations for the past year for Miss Briggs.
