Excerpt from Laws Relating to the Employment of Women and Children in the United States: July, 1907Age limit. Section 1. No child under the age of twelve (12) years shall be employed in or about any factory or manufacturing establishment within this State unless a widowed mother or aged or disabled father is dependent upon the labor of such child, or in case a child is an orphan and has no other means of support.
