By about 700 B. C. It had reached the hill of Tara, Ireland, and about 320 B. C. Fergus I. Transported it to the west of Scotland. In 840 A. D. It was removed by King Kenneth to Scone, Scotland, after which for many years it was called the stone of Scone.
